Heat Sensors

Excessive heat in the pump system is not good for the equipment nor is it good for your pocket. Excessive heat is pointing to equipment failure and wastage of electricity. To get on top of these problems heat sensors can be installed to let you know what the equipment temperature is, and/or to shut down systems when temperature thresholds are exceeded.

Electric motors generally come with temperature sensors built into the windings and control systems so the motor will shut down before damage is done to the motor. It’s the other components equipment that needs to be looked at.

Excessive heat in the bearings is showing that:

  • the cooling system is not working;
  • the bearings are failing

Calect can design and install temperature sensors to protect your electrical and mechanical systems and control your expenditure.
